Be the last Hero standing! Bankrupt your rivals by capturing locations and hoarding Gold. When a player runs out of money and property, they are forgotten by history.
✦ Movement & The Inn
Every journey begins at Old Crooks Inn. Roll 2d6 to move.
Passing Start: Gain +200 Gold and recharge all abilities.
Landing on Start: Visit the Merchant to buy supplies. Long-press items in your inventory to sell them.
✦ Mystery Spaces
Fairy Ring and Smuggler Cove (Purple) are unstable locations. They cannot be captured.
When you land here, you must face an Encounter. If you succeed, you are instantly Teleported to a random space on the board!
✦ The Dungeon
If you land on "Go to Dungeon," you are arrested! You must Skip your next turn. If you land on the Dungeon space itself (Just Visiting), you are safe.
✦ Empty Lands
When you discover a new location, you draw an Encounter Card. You must pass a Stat Check (Str, Dex, or Int) to save the town.
Success: You capture the location and set up Camp. You must then assign a Defending Stat (STR, DEX, or INT) to protect the land.
Failure: You pay a fine to the Treasury (Capital City) to repair damages.
✦ Enemy Lands
If you land on a space owned by a rival, you have two choices:
Pay Rent: Pay the fee directly to the owner.
Siege (Attack): Attempt to steal the land! You must roll against the location's assigned Defending Stat.
Win Siege: You take the land (or kill a guard).
Lose Siege: You pay DOUBLE the rent to the owner.
✦ Building Taverns
If you land on a location you already own, you can upgrade your Camp into a Tavern.
Taverns force enemies to draw harder Skirmish Cards when attacking.
✦ Guards
Owners of a Tavern can hire Bodyguards for 50G each.
If an enemy successfully Sieges your land, a Guard dies to protect the property. You only lose the property if there are no Guards left.
✦ Treasure
Items range from Common, Magic, Rare, to Legendary.
Some items grant passive stat bonuses, while others provide active skills. Scrolls (like Town Portals) are one-time use.
✦ Capital City
Taxes collected from the Tax spaces and fines from failed captures are stored in the Kingdom's Treasury.
Landing on Capital City awards you the entire contents of the Treasury!
